Xbox 360 Jasper with 65nm GPU coming Technology News, Electronics Buy Guide and Gadget Review A report from Taiwanese CENS indicates that Microsoft has started production on yet another Xbox 360 hardware redesign dubbed Jasper. We first reported about Jasper back in October 2007.

Apparently TSMC has been chosen to make the 65nm graphics chips and north-bridge chips for the Xbox 360 Jasper version. The new Xbox 360 consoles are expected to ship in August. Read more

Xbox 360 scores 60% of GTA IV Sales Technology News, Electronics Buy Guide and Gadget Review As reported Rockstar landed a major sales record with Grand Theft Auto IV with $500 million in sales the first week. From the 6 million GTA IV copies sold apparently 60% are for the Xbox 360 console.

Microsoft's GameScoreBlog published retailer statistics that also show a strong sales increase in Xbox 360 console sales. Xbox 360 sales increased by 54% in the week of the GTA IV launch compared to the previous week. Read more

Now gaming blog Kotaku opened a whole new direction with identifying Motus and their Darwin 6DOF controller as the possible future Xbox 360 motion controller.

Gyration is actually denying that they work with Microsoft on a motion controller, making the Motus story more plausible at this point. Read more

Microsoft can celebrate again as they overtook the Sony PS3 again in March. In February Sony outsold the Xbox 360 with the PS3. Microsoft was saying back then that supply issues damped the Xbox 360 sales. In March supply was stable again. Read more

The Wii is still way ahead though. Microsoft only lowered the prices of the Xbox 360 in Europe, seems they do see no need to reduce the price in the United States.
Apple released the first download numbers for their new iPhone SDK. 100,000 developers already started to toy with the SDK. Apple also announced this week the details for the upcoming WWDC 08 conference where the iPhone SDK will be the hottest topic.
Asus thinks that there will be more Asus Eee PCs running XP than Linux, I am not sold on that message yet.
If you are into music, a new software has been announced that can fix wrong notes in a recording, just like that. Read more

Microsoft already prepared us for this situation citing stock issues, which are supposed to be resolved next month.
